Twenty tools (and counting).

Workztream wraps SFC Scan, DISM, Chkdsk, network resets, and the rest of Windows' own repair utilities in one clean admin-grade GUI — so you stop hunting through menus and start fixing. It didn't launch with all of this, and it won't stop here either: every tab exists because a real maintenance problem needed one.

The toolkit

Every tab, in the order a technician actually works.

Workztream follows one routine: PC health check, secure the system, clean it, repair it, then confirm it's healthy. Each tab picks up exactly where the last one left off — and this list has grown every month since the first release, not a fixed set decided on day one. Your one-stop-shop Windows optimizer and repair tool.

01

Prep & Safety

Restore point, software inventory, health score, and a one-click list of what's actually wrong.

02

Core Cleanup

SFC scannow, Temp folders, Disk Cleanup, Storage Sense, drive optimization, Store cache reset - all quarantined, not deleted outright.

03

System Repair

DISM RestoreHealth, component store trim, forced Group Policy update.

04

Diagnostics & Health

Battery report, Chkdsk (read-only or fix-at-restart), memory diagnostic, SMART status.

05

Network

DNS/IP/ARP refresh, deeper Winsock resets, saved Wi-Fi password recovery, a speed test, and a scan of what's on your local network.

06

Updates & Apps

Windows Update troubleshooter, net start wuauserv, net stop wuauserv, net start bits, net stop bits, winget upgrades, vendor download links.

07

Browser & Startup

Per-browser cache clearing and a direct shortcut into chrome://flags.

08

Control Panel Applets

Direct shortcuts to the classic admin consoles you reach for every day.

09

RegEdit Processes

USB storage toggle, NTFS long-path support — guarded behind a confirmation. You can now delete a stubborn persistent file with a very long file name.

10

Laptop Drivers

Vendor download links, a live scan of installed driver versions, DirectX Diagnostic Tool, and Driver Signature Verifier.

11

Virus & Malware Scan

Kick off a Defender quick, full, or offline scan without opening Settings.

12

BitLocker Key

Full drive encryption dashboard — Bitlocker recovery key lookup, export, and Microsoft account backup, TPM status, suspend/resume, and turning encryption on or off per drive.

13

Software Manager

Bulk-uninstall installed programs straight from the Uninstall registry keys - no more one-by-one.

14

Startup Manager

See and toggle what launches at sign-in, with a shortcut to Startup Apps Settings alongside it.

15

History & Logs

A local trend log of disk, RAM, and CPU, System/Application/Security event log export, and a shortcut into Event Viewer.

16

Debloating

With its debloater, remove curated, risk-tagged bloatware, and flip reversible privacy/telemetry toggles.

17

Fix Hardware Issues

Bluetooth and Audio troubleshooters, a Camera fix, and a hardware re-scan for devices Windows hasn't picked up.

18

App Cleanup

Official Adobe cleanup tools and Microsoft's own Program Install/Uninstall Troubleshooter for stuck, corrupted software.

19

File & Folder Options

Lock or unlock access, hide/show, and reset permissions on any file or folder you select.

20

App Information

Version, developer, and copyright info, plus quick links to the Privacy Notice, License, and ReadMe.

This list keeps growing — check the release notes for what's shipped since you last looked.

What's new

Grown well past a basic repair tool.

Three additions that turn Workztream from a fix-it kit into something you'd actually trust with the messier parts of the job.

NEW

A BitLocker dashboard, not a single button

See every drive's encryption status at a glance, export or back up recovery keys to your Microsoft account, check TPM health, and suspend protection before a BIOS update — all from one tab instead of memorizing PowerShell commands.

NEW

Five themes, two of them genuinely different

Beyond the original dark and light options, two new gradient themes — Yellow to Sky Blue and Pink Pastel — give the toolkit a completely different personality without touching a single feature underneath.

NEW

Lock down a file or folder properly

Real Windows permission changes via icacls, not a cosmetic hide — lock access to Everyone, unlock it again, or reset permissions entirely when something's gone wrong. Hide/show sits alongside it for the lighter-weight case.

How it works

Three steps, start to finish.

1

Download the installer

Grab WorkztreamSetup.exe — no signup, just a standard Windows installer.

2

Install and launch

Run the installer and open Workztream. It prompts for the Administrator (UAC) elevation it needs on first launch.

WorkztreamSetup.exe → Install → Launch
3

Pick a tab, or run the sequence

Work through a tab by hand, or hit "Run Recommended Sequence" for the safe, automatable core routine.

Built solo. Kept free.

Workztream doesn't run ads, sell data, or gate features behind a paywall. If it's saved you a service call or an afternoon of hunting through menus, a donation goes directly toward keeping it that way — entirely optional, any amount welcome.

FAQ

Before you run it

Yes, entirely. There's no paid tier, no locked tabs, and nothing to unlock. It's a PowerShell script you own a copy of once you download it.
No passive collection and no background processes once the window is closed. Two features do talk to the network, but only when you click them: the speed test hits Cloudflare's public test endpoint, and backing up a BitLocker recovery key to your Microsoft account (if you use that specific button) uploads it there. Everything else runs entirely against your own machine's built-in Windows tools.
Most of the tabs — SFC, DISM, Chkdsk, network stack resets, registry changes — require elevation on Windows regardless of the tool running them. Workztream prompts for the UAC dialog automatically on launch.
No action runs without you clicking its button, and destructive or system-altering steps (like registry edits or the full recommended sequence) ask for confirmation first. "Run Recommended Sequence" deliberately excludes anything that needs a restart or carries risk — those stay manual.
Not the way Temp cleanup's quarantine works — app removal isn't file-based, so there's nothing to restore from a folder. Reinstalling later means grabbing it again from the Microsoft Store. That's why every app is tagged Safe or Caution rather than dumped into one list, and why we recommend a System Restore Point first if you haven't made one recently.
Yes, for now. SmartScreen flags any installer from a publisher it doesn't yet recognize, regardless of what the installer actually does. Click More infoRun anyway to proceed. This warning goes away automatically once the installer has enough downloads and reputation with Microsoft, or immediately if it's signed with a code-signing certificate.
Workztream targets Windows 10 and 11 and relies on the utilities Microsoft ships with both. PowerShell 5.1 or later is required, which is already installed on any supported Windows machine.

Stop context-switching between different admin tools.

Download Workztream and get the whole routine — prep, cleanup, repair, diagnostics and more — in one window. Now verified and available on the Microsoft Store.
